Let it Snow! Let it Snow! Let it Snow!

Last night was the Christmas parade. I always wonder why they do it before Thanksgiving.  The longer I live here, the better I understand it.  Last night, it was C.O.L.D.

The very last of the leaves finally came down.

Very early this morning I noticed the remaining leaves from the backyard all blew down into the yard (the front did during our storms last week).

Still in his pajamas...just taking a few to run around in that first snow, woot!

When the snow started to fall this morning, I could not help but wake the youngest up to go run around in it. Despite my lack of enthusiasm for the winter (I hate driving in it), the first snow always makes me h-a-p-p-y.  There's just something magical about it, every single season.

The windshield of our car.
Bring on the Snow, woo hoo!

This is what it looked like 5 minutes ago when I went outside to take another picture.  If it weren't for winter driving, which I hate, I would be a winter girl. I love, love, love the first snow!!! I am very glad, however, that they had that parade yesterday. ;)

Wishing everyone a happy weekend (snow or no snow). :)

  3. Yeah if it weren't for driving I wouldn't hate it so much either, but because of that hate it all winter long

  4. I like to see pictures of snow, and that's about it. I'm not a snow person. I don't like the cold. It could be 85 degrees year around for me and I'd be thrilled.

Have a fabulous day in the snow. :)

  6. I'm jealous. We hardly ever get snow, and I miss it. There is nothing better than learning I have an unexpected a day off work due to snow!

  7. Hi Rosey .. no snow here - but it's cooled off this evening. Your parade looks fun .. it's good to join in and see what's going on .. I'd rather we didn't have snow too - but I love it when it looks so pretty ... crisp and even ... cheers Hilary

  8. I loved the snow when I was a kid! Snowmen, forts, snowball fights...just jumping around in it. Now that I'm not a kid (LOL)...it's hard to walk in, and looks like a grey slushy mess here in NYC. In so many ways, growing up spoils all your fun! scain54 (at) aol (dot) com

  9. Like Spock above, snow was the greatest adventure. My mom hated it--wet boots, mittens, and coats hung to dry just in time to go out again. February was when winter lost its thrill.

  11. We already had our first snowfall. It was a snow squall that left a dusting on our lawn. Can't say I was nearly as happy! lol It's fun when the kids get the occasional snow day off. I can share in that excitement. It reminds me of the good ol days of snow days!

  15. I bet you had a nice Christmas parade! I like the first snow too, but I do not drive, my sister does it for me, and she hates driving in the snow, especially around the snowy hills that we live by. I like the snow when I am inside the house with no where to go. This week there will be now snow, and it will be easier when we go out for Black Friday! You have a nice weekend!

  24. I'm glad it only dusted like it did here. Just pretty enough! Our boys wanted to go sledding today. It didn't snow very much at all. Not enough to go sledding.

  32. I'm the same as you! I love the beauty of the snow, but hate driving it in. It was perfect when the kids were little and I didn't have anywhere to go. ;-)
