Laughing Giraffe Books (review and $50 GC giveaway)

Disclosure: A sample was provided to help facilitate the review. No other form of compensation took place. All opinions stated are genuine and my own.

When reading about 'The Making of a Knight' you might want to wear a knight costume.
That's not mandatory, of course, but it does make it more fun.

What do you wear when you read a book about 'The Making of a Knight?' Well, you wear your knight suit (of course!).

Books are big in our house, huge actually, and you can see my son above going through one of the newest ones that has made its way to our book collection, courtesy of Laughing Giraffe Books.

Laughing Giraffe Books offers a Book of the Month delivery service that I love. Each month a book that has been carefully selected to match your child's interests is mailed to your home.  That is fan-tas-tic because a). It gets your kids excited about reading b). It gives them a mail delivery to look forward to each month (I know my kids love to get mail, and a gift wrapped book makes it even more fun).

The Book of the Month delivery service would be a great holiday gift idea for any young reader, don't you think?  Imagine giving the gift that will inspire the little ones you love to look forward to their reading.  I just can't think of a nicer present.  An added bonus? Once the interest in all of the other holiday gifts has waned for your children, this one is going to continue to be exciting.

There is no commitment (hurrah!), and each book that arrives to your home will be gift wrapped in pretty paper.  Another big plus for me: Free Shipping & Handling on every order.

If you are looking to make a purchase without enrolling in the Book of the Month delivery service, you can do that too.  There are many categories to choose from, and you'll find great selections such as the group of Christmas books I found (pictured above).  The website is geared towards young readers (Newborn to ages 8+), offers many book purchasing options, and is very well organized to help you find exactly what you want/need.

You can learn more about Laughing Giraffe Books by visiting their website.

You can also follow them on Facebook, Twitter, Pinterest, and/or their blog.

One lucky reader gets a $50 gift certificate to purchase anything they would like from Laughing Giraffe Books.

  3. My nephew has that exact book your son is reading! How funny! :) I'll have to ask him what he thinks of it; I just happened to see it on the floor with some other books when I was over there last time. ;) LOL As a former English teacher, I love reading and want my future kids to be exposed to it as much as possible. I will have to keep this service in mind if it's still around when my husband and I have kids.

  10. Oh this is just super, my kids happen to be 5 & 8 which falls perfectly into this category and we're big readers here because Jake is dyslexic and we're trying to improve his reading skills. He's in third grade but is only on a Kindergarten level. It doesn't stop us from reading books for his age group, it just means I help read them with him.
