LOL...don't tell me you don't like snakes? Girl,...they make great handbags!!! what's not to love? LOL...I've always wanted to have a pet snake but my mom kept saying there was no need because my neighbor back then had a collection of boas in his house and they kept "escaping" and ended up across the street (my backyard) all the time :) Hugs and happy Tuessssssday to you :)

Your daughter is so much braver then I am and would not have held a snake back in the 8th grade!! :)

Dorothy Teel said...

WOW your daughter is much braver than I would be I would not even be that close yet alone holding it. Had one about 12 inches the cats brought in and I had a fit, hubby had to get it out of house, UGH I don't like snakes.

That's a big one too!

There's nothing wrong with snakes. As long as they're on the other side of a thick pane of glass at the zoo, or well beyond striking distance. Or, um, ya know, dead. Seriously, my brother has raised snakes off and on since we were kids. That doesn't mean I have any warm fuzzy feelings for them, but I'm not afraid of them, either.

Gawd your daughter has more courage than me LOL

Have a hisstastic week and always hold on to your hotdog ;-)

I HATE snakes...not as much as I HATE cancer, but close!

alissa apel said...

Sounds crazy, but I love snakes. Hey I'm allergic to all things furry and feathery. I also love turtles, lizards, frogs and toads.

Theresa said...

Yikes! I probably would have held it in my younger years, but as an adult? No way!

Susan Kane said...

I would have been over by the door...

My eldest daughter is also in the 9th grade. Your daughter is lovely. I'm not so sure about the snake. ;)

Ugochi said...

I am sure about the snake, I don't consider it a pet.

She is certainly brave Rosey! Definitely puts some of us adults to shame!:) Thanks for hosting.

Oh my goodness, your daughter is braver than I am!! She doesn't even look phased at all!

Nice snake, a brave girl! Greetings!

I don't think any of our teachers would dare to bring a snake into class.. they would surely get a lot of parental complaints later!! haha

We had a pet corn snake in 3 grade :) It was pretty neat, we got to feed it live mice. That part freaked out a lot of the kids, but I was fine with it. We had snakes in our yard, they were harmless so they have never been something that scared me. Our dog did almost get bit by a rattlesnack one time though. That wasn't so awesome :)

kewkew said...

Wow, um, no thank you. I do not do snakes well. The two times I came across them in my yard I had nightmares when I went to bed that night.
It is sort of a pretty snake though. What kind is it.

I love it! :)

I guess I could handle holding a snake like this. Your daughter seems like a pro! I love her hair color btw - Looks great!

Danielle Royalegacy said...

It makes me a bit uneasy because I have such a fear of coming upon a rattlesnake at home, but once I would get started touching it, I would have no problem holding it.

Launna said...

My sister has three snakes... I wouldn't have one... lol :)

Handling their food is worse.

she's brave. I'm fine looking on from here. giggle

mail4rosey said...

The red she had was vegan dye, that wasn't her real hair color. ;)

mail4rosey said...

I'm not sure what kind it is, I'll have to ask her. She told me once and I forgot already. Not one that can hurt you, I guess. I still wouldn't want to touch it.

mail4rosey said...

Are you out west? My husband's best friend came across one when he first moved to AZ, and he was scared...his much older mother in law was visiting and came out and got rid of it, hahahaha His pride was slightly wounded. ;)

mail4rosey said...

You and me both. ;)

mail4rosey said...

ew, she'd probably like that too. I have no idea where she gets her love of rodents and reptiles from, it's def. not her mother.

mail4rosey said...

I second that, Launna. :)

mail4rosey said...

icky ;)

Faythe M.A said...

that girl is more brave than I! I am with you... Ugh...

mail4rosey said...

I thought that was a Batman thing, but I see from Google it's a reptile show. ;)

mail4rosey said...

She's braver than me too.

mail4rosey said...

I'm guessing the snake and dog was scene was scary!

I would have been freaked out in the class feeding mice.

mail4rosey said...

I'm not a fan but the kids seemed to love it.

mail4rosey said...

Greetings. :)

mail4rosey said...

She's not, she loves that kind of thing. She used her baby playpen for baby frogs instead of dolls when she was a small girl. *sigh* LOL

It's better than the snake holding her!

Your daughter is so pretty! I have touched snakes, I used to stay at my aunties when I was your daughters age in the school holidays and I had to sleep in a room with pet snakes...it gave me nightmares!

What a beauty! lol

Great composition (and lovely girl). I can't imagine it's easy to take a good photo involving a snake. It's not like the snake is going to take kindly to direction. And I wouldn't be as calm as this girl if I were holding a snake!

Janet W. said...

Yuck! She's very brave! No way would I hold that thing!

This is a great photo of a very brave girl! I had not touched the snake ...

Happy ww and thank you for your nice comment on my blog!

Wow! I hope it was well secured when not being handled...I'd be terrified of it turning into 'snakes on a bus'.

Melanie Britt said...

Oh no way. Eek! I wouldn't last 2 seconds in the same room with that thing.

Ewwwwwwwwwwwwwwwwww I HATE SNAKES~! Dang, they scare the beegeezus out of me!!!

I seen a really cute girl in Las Vegas with a HUGE snake. I was walking by not paying attention until the snake caught my eye and I almost peed my pants.

Laurie Collett said...

She is a braver lady than I, that's for sure! I traveled to Marrakech with my family long ago, where, in the casbah (marketplace), they have snake charmers with live cobras slithering around on the pavement! We got out of there in a hurry! Thanks for the great post & for hosting & God bless!

Julie Maloney said...

My sister had this snake she LOVED, she would wear it to work as a bracelet and nobody even knew it was real!

I am a scaredy cat especially of snakes. Bold move, love it. Thanks for sharing!

Hi Rosey - good for your daughter .. she looks so lovely too - what a great idea of teacher - I never much liked snakes, but if you get a chance to understand them early on .. what an opportunity ...
