  1. LOL...don't tell me you don't like snakes? Girl,...they make great handbags!!! what's not to love? LOL...I've always wanted to have a pet snake but my mom kept saying there was no need because my neighbor back then had a collection of boas in his house and they kept "escaping" and ended up across the street (my backyard) all the time :) Hugs and happy Tuessssssday to you :)

  5. WOW your daughter is much braver than I would be I would not even be that close yet alone holding it. Had one about 12 inches the cats brought in and I had a fit, hubby had to get it out of house, UGH I don't like snakes.

  6. There's nothing wrong with snakes. As long as they're on the other side of a thick pane of glass at the zoo, or well beyond striking distance. Or, um, ya know, dead. Seriously, my brother has raised snakes off and on since we were kids. That doesn't mean I have any warm fuzzy feelings for them, but I'm not afraid of them, either.

  9. Sounds crazy, but I love snakes. Hey I'm allergic to all things furry and feathery. I also love turtles, lizards, frogs and toads.

  10. Yikes! I probably would have held it in my younger years, but as an adult? No way!

    1. She's not, she loves that kind of thing. She used her baby playpen for baby frogs instead of dolls when she was a small girl. *sigh* LOL

  21. I don't think any of our teachers would dare to bring a snake into class.. they would surely get a lot of parental complaints later!! haha

  22. We had a pet corn snake in 3 grade :) It was pretty neat, we got to feed it live mice. That part freaked out a lot of the kids, but I was fine with it. We had snakes in our yard, they were harmless so they have never been something that scared me. Our dog did almost get bit by a rattlesnack one time though. That wasn't so awesome :)

  23. Wow, um, no thank you. I do not do snakes well. The two times I came across them in my yard I had nightmares when I went to bed that night.
It is sort of a pretty snake though. What kind is it.

    1. I'm not sure what kind it is, I'll have to ask her. She told me once and I forgot already. Not one that can hurt you, I guess. I still wouldn't want to touch it.

  25. I guess I could handle holding a snake like this. Your daughter seems like a pro! I love her hair color btw - Looks great!

    1. The red she had was vegan dye, that wasn't her real hair color. ;)

  26. It makes me a bit uneasy because I have such a fear of coming upon a rattlesnake at home, but once I would get started touching it, I would have no problem holding it.

    1. Are you out west? My husband's best friend came across one when he first moved to AZ, and he was scared...his much older mother in law was visiting and came out and got rid of it, hahahaha His pride was slightly wounded. ;)

  36. Great composition (and lovely girl). I can't imagine it's easy to take a good photo involving a snake. It's not like the snake is going to take kindly to direction. And I wouldn't be as calm as this girl if I were holding a snake!

    ReplyDelete
  37. Yuck! She's very brave! No way would I hold that thing!

  40. Wow! I hope it was well secured when not being handled...I'd be terrified of it turning into 'snakes on a bus'.

  43. I seen a really cute girl in Las Vegas with a HUGE snake. I was walking by not paying attention until the snake caught my eye and I almost peed my pants.

  44. She is a braver lady than I, that's for sure! I traveled to Marrakech with my family long ago, where, in the casbah (marketplace), they have snake charmers with live cobras slithering around on the pavement! We got out of there in a hurry! Thanks for the great post & for hosting & God bless!
