The Toilet Paper Roll is on the Table

This is going to be a craft project...really. ;)

This morning hubby walked into the kitchen to collect his packed lunch and his goodbye kiss for the day. I was momentarily distracted by the task at hand, which was to get a picture of the empty toilet paper roll on the table. And as if that wasn't weird enough, I had to take another picture because the overhead lighting was reflecting too harshly on the cornucopia behind it.

Why was I taking a picture of an empty toilet paper roll?  Because it's the 'before' picture to a cute craft we're going to do for Thanksgiving (that we found on Pinterest).

Hubby shook his head, kissed me goodbye, and left for work.  He's getting used to these things. :)

  4. Rosey,
I have to laugh at this post! When I first saw the empty toilet paper roll I thought for sure this would be about your husband not replacing the used up roll. Once I read the post, I laughed again because I know exactly what your husband was thinking when he left for work! Being married to a blogger (not to mention being one myself) it's funny how taking multiple pictures of an toilet paper roll becomes the new normal! Even my soon-to-be seven year old will do something I praise him for and in response he'll ask, "Are you going to put this on your blog?" :)

    1. My crafts are not like your crafts.... you have the innate talent to turn a toilet paper roll into a flourishing and festive turkey that doubles as a decorative pot holder rack (or some other great function, just saying). Our turkeys will be made of handprint construction paper cutouts, and just sit on the bookshelf to welcome people to the house. ;)

  11. Oh you have a craft up your sleeve do you, Rosey? Yes, the Maddens are VERY comfortable. Listen: Everything I wear has to be 'comfortable' or I refuse to wear it. At my age, definitely comfort is #1! They are a half size too big which makes the left one slip in the heel, but I have these cool pad things I got at Target and it does the trick. Every time I wear those I get tonz of compliments and I don't have to kick them off due to pain, like the shoes I wore at my ydd's WEDDING! lol

  16. I think all husbands of wifey bloggers need to form a Shake Your Head and Walk Away club. My husband has since stopped asking about the weird stuff that goes on here.

  17. When I first saw this before reading more of your explanation, I thought maybe you put the empty toilet paper roll out because your hubby had used it all up but didn't replace the roll with a new one and you were trying to give him a hint. haha! But I can't wait to see what you create with it!

  29. My Honey/Hubby and I have known each other for about 40 years and been married for 21 - and he knows well enough NOT to ask when he comes across a scene such as you described above...

HOWEVER, I am immensely curious - not just about that the plan and intended outcome ("finished product") is going to be. But before I even get started on THAT track - or line of questioning - I just have to know what the urgency about taking the pictures of the empty toilet paper rolls!

... a sense of urgency so great that it drove you... to distraction! Please hurry and tell us what happens next - the curiousity and anticipation are almost too much to bear,,, ; - )
