Lately, when the weather is clear, the car wash has a line out to the street. I'm not sure if it's because warm weather is about to disappear and people want to get their vehicles garage-ready, or what, but twice last week we have considered driving through and changed our mind when we got there and saw the line.
Why drive to the car wash, when AutoRight, a division of Homeright, has created two products to make car washing at home, or anywhere, a piece of cake? Check out the video above. The AutoRight Easy Wash Stick allows you to take a bucket of soapy water, dip your handle in, fill up the stick, and push the water out as you need it to soap up your vehicle. That means you are going to save a lot of water, and make a minimal mess. The extension on the handle is high enough (56 inches) to allow you to reach high places, like the roof of an SUV, and the synthetic lambswool head is durable enough to get the dirt off but designed not to scratch the paint.
I like this because you fill the handle with your cleaning solution and move around the car, rather than fighting with the water hose and having to constantly wring out the sponge. I also like the reach of the handle and think this might pull double duty at our house as an exterior window washer too.
The Easy-Wash Stick uses the same concept. That nifty handle holds 16 oz. of cleaning solution in it, and you control the flow. The bristles are durable enough to get the tough dirt off that you need to scrub, but again, like the Auto-Wash Stick, designed not to scratch the paint! This is great for those places you need a little extra scrub-a-dub-dub, like the headlights, around the tires, and the front and back bumpers. For me, this would be great because it would get to the little bugs that get trapped in the grill and I wouldn't even have to get up close and personal to them (ew! I know).
Both items minimize mess, conserve water, save cleaning time, and are designed to clean efficiently.
