All Fogged Up

In the a.m. just before school, wet hair and all. ;)
See how thick that fog is in the background?

This was taken right before school yesterday morning.  The picture is to show you the background. The fog was so thick we didn't even see a big delivery truck in front of us, until he took a turn off of the road.

After school, same day, same location.

Later in the afternoon, the skies had cleared right up and all was well again.

Anyone else getting the really foggy mornings right now? Of course, I've seen fog before (once driving in the mountains in TN w/fog so thick everyone was c-r-e-e-p-i-n-g), but I can't remember seeing it so thick like this here.  For the most part, I don't mind it. Not a big fan though, when it comes time to drive.

It gets foggy here, but usually in January and February. I don't care for the fog if I have to drive.

Have a terrific day. ☺

That's right out of an episode of Scooby Doo! Very creepy indeed, but cool at the same time.

We have been having a lot of fog here too. Reminds of a Stephen King book.... Out Of The Mist.

Haven't seen much recently, but yeah seen it that thick, awful to drive in at night. He looks happier without the fog too

I don't like driving in it either, but it reminds me of being close to the water. I like that part :) Your little guy is so cute :)

He's a cutie :) Our mornings are not foggy but they are definitely cold...

We haven't been, but there are some mornings were we go through stretches of fog in the mornings. when I lived in Savannah, GA it was regular. It was so creepy! They have spanish moss, cobble stone streets, old houses, and grave sites galore.

What a difference in the weather! We get foggy mornings on occasion here too. Driving at night in the fog is the worst. (Your son is such a cutie!)

I've been seeing it in the early evenings too! It cools down so quickly at night from these hot days.

We get it pretty bad at times here. There is often a fog delay at the schools a few towns over fairly often because they get it so bad. I have notice an increase in fog in the mornings too. Just means colder days are right around the corner :(

I have not had fog yet. But that was some thick fog in the background. That is very dangerous to drive in. Such a cute picture of your son!!

Quite a difference between the morning and evening Rosey. At times it gets foggy especially from October to February. When it is really thick I make my imagination go wild and dream of snow!:)

More fog here lately than normal. I think the warm days and cool nights help create it.

Over here, it gets foggy only at the highlands. I find them really spooky!

Have a wonderful weekend, sweetie!

You can have our snow when it gets here. Really, take as much as you want. :)

I saw your fog! Great picture & message w/the post too. :)

The delay I understand (and applaud), but I instantly thought of how businesses might react to the call, "I'm going to be late coming in because the kids had a fog delay." ;)

mail4rosey said...

He's happier because that's in the afternoon and he's not tired. ;)

mail4rosey said...

Ah, I wish I'd have thought of that at the time, my son's a huge Scooby fan and would have gotten a kick out of that...

Yep yesterday and today. Our fog stinks too. That's what I don't like about it. Not that the it really stinks but its like walking outside to odors being held in by the fog - dog poop in particular - just a "ground" smell.

He is such a handsome boy Rosey! Fog has been crazy here lately. Homecoming parade day - no fog up where I live but as we neared downtown the fog was thick!

mail4rosey said...

The fog has rolled out here, but we've got thunderstorms today.

mail4rosey said...

I'm going to pay attention next time and I'd be lying if I didn't say you made me laugh!

Carole said...

Luckily we don't get fog too often and if we have any it clears up pretty quickly. Hope things are going well for you Rosey. Cheers

What a handsome fellow!

And indeed we've been getting those foggy mornings!

Nothing scarier than to see a vehicle emerges without having their headlights on!!

I don't like anything dangerous at all when I drive. My husband is unphased by all of it.

mail4rosey said...

Grazie.

mail4rosey said...

I haven't read it... I think the only thing I've read of his was Shawshank in the short stories form. Crazy, I know.

mail4rosey said...

Being close to the water does rock. :)

mail4rosey said...

Ours were but they've warmed up again. I'm not complaining. ;)

mail4rosey said...

I bet it was!! Probably a good place for the popular ghost tours some places have. :)

mail4rosey said...

Eesh, night fog would be worse. I can't remember doing it, though I'm sure I must have at some point.

mail4rosey said...

I'd take fog (not in excess) if it meant year-round warm weather. :)

mail4rosey said...

He's a sweetheart to pose, lol

mail4rosey said...

I'm not big on driving through anything scary, heavy rain, fog, ice, it all makes me not very happy.

mail4rosey said...

TY!

mail4rosey said...

It was pretty darn thick!

mail4rosey said...

Thank you for the compliment, Karen! He was tired in the first one, but still let me take a pic w/o complaining, lol. He's a gem. :)

mail4rosey said...

Our weather's been up and down with the temps. It'll be interesting to see what winter is like this year.

mail4rosey said...

Alissa was just talking about the Georgia fog in a post above. :)

mail4rosey said...

Look at you all happy for chilly weather, and a NY'er to boot! LOL Good for you!

mail4rosey said...

Gah, I'm sorry to hear it. No storms are fun, and windstorms can wreak a lot of havoc.

mail4rosey said...

Dittoing that sentiment. ;)

mail4rosey said...

We've got those, for sure.

mail4rosey said...

I closed my camera and when I went to take the picture in the afternoon the lens was still foggy from being in that thick fog. Crazy.

Thankfully the camera still worked, but doh to me for not cleaning the lens after it had been in the fog!

mail4rosey said...

Things are happy here. Hoping the same for you. Have a good weekend, Carole. :)

mail4rosey said...

It gets ya thinking when something that big becomes visible that you couldn't see for who knows how long. Some people didn't even have their lights on! That always surprises me.
