Fortune Girls: Empowering Tweens

Disclosure: I did not receive compensation for this post. I applied to post about it on Sverve because I think The Fortune Girls and the message they are trying to spread is exciting and well worth sharing.

The Fortune Girls is a website designed for Tweens, and hurrah for it! Tweens are at that stage where they still have some wonderful playful child left in them, but have also started to get a lot of serious goal-oriented, future-building concepts interwoven into their thinking. It is a time that can be fun, complex, and one that can leave the child in need of a lot of love and support.

Fortune Girls has come up with a way to help. My daughter just left her tweens (welcome to high school), and she still thinks this site is cute. Chock full of information, activities, and games (like Animal Shelter & Diva Toes pictured above), the site is meant to be fun. It is also meant to empower tween girls to dream big for themselves & others, and realize they can make a positive impact on the world. It is all about empowering them to believe in themselves and encourage them to live positively and take positive action.

Created by a tween girl and her mother, Fortune Girls allows for a wonderfully clear message to ring through loud and clear, and encourages young ladies on their journey through life. I love that it embraces an age set that is often overlooked, and appreciate it for the value it places on providing a positive outlet for tweens to learn, be encouraged and encourage others.

You can learn more about Fortune Girls by visiting their website here: http://www.fgempowerment.com/
You can also follow them on Facebook, Twitter, YouTube, and/or Pinterest.

Thank you Rosey, I have a 10 year old who is so near the tweens that I am saving this website and let her take a look at it. Children grow up much too fast these days and I believe in empowering them too :)

I think kids grow up way to fast and the internet can be so dangerous. I hope this site is encouraging and protected.
So many "kids" with internet cell phones and unsupervised. Why can't they just be kids and play outside with toys? Old fashioned I guess.

Awesome review and great that the site is geared to still letting them be kids. I think tweens are pushed into growing up too quickly

This sounds like a positive place for girls to hang out. They just want to grow up so fast, it's good to keep them in kid mode for as long as possible.

You are right that this age group is overlooked in many aspects, and yet, is a very important time in a person's life! I love the message it sends, and the fun activities provided!
