The Smurfs 2

I took the kids to see the Smurfs 2 last night.  I'm usually 'meh' on watching The Smurfs, but this one was GOOD.  It was a Friday night and we were the only three in the entire room watching. I guess all of the cars in the parking lot were folks going to see the more grown up movies. ;)

It was fun having the theater to ourselves because the kids could get up and dance their little bottoms off at the end of the show.  I didn't know Katy Perry was Smurfette until I looked up the YouTube trailer just now.

Have you seen it? Will you go? My kids think I liked it because Paris was the featured city. I DID like that, but it's not the reason I liked the movie. :)

Super Sunday Sync goes live tonight at 8pm. I hope you'll swing by and link up. It's my second week as the host, and I'd love to have you along (if you like blog hops!). :)

Happy weekend everyone!!

  1. We will wait to rent it. That's what we did with the first one. Glad to hear it was good. I really didn't like Gargamel in the first one. He was hideous. I always like to look up who the voices where. That's part of the fun.

  5. This is a movie me and the girls would like to see. But first they want to see the new Percy Jackson and Airplanes. And I must say I liked the first Smurfs.

  6. Wow, the whole movie theater to yourselves! THAT would be cool.

No we haven't seen either of the Smurf movies, and aren't likely to, unless some of the grandkids want us to watch it with them. (We'll watch just about ANYTHING if one of the kidlets asks.) We ARE looking forward to seeing Despicable Me 2, though.

  10. We had fun at the first one. Glad to hear the second one is good. That will be a nice activity one of these days before school starts and when the weather is too hot to play outside.

    1. Our weather cooled down a few weeks back. It's not as cool as it was, but it never got hot again. We had like one week (maybe two?) of hot this year.

  20. We saw the first one in the theater and both boys loved it, but I've asked them numerous times if they wanted to see the second one and neither of them seem to have interest. I may wait until it comes out on dvd before they see it.

  30. LOVED The Smurfs when growing up watching Saturday Morning Cartoons. Sort of liked the Smurfs first movie, guess I will give this one a try since you seemed to have good feedback about it! I have the Wii game for Smurfs 2, the daughter says it's okay (the game) none of us have seen the movie yet.
