Heartfelt Books

Disclosure: I did not receive monetary compensation for this post. A product was provided to help facilitate the review. All opinions stated, however, are genuine, and my own.

Heartfelt Books is a company that allows you to create a high quality, hardcover book that expresses how you feel (or how you remember things) about someone in your life.

I used it to create a book for my daughter.  She and her friends like to create lists for one another to fill out...lists that denote what they like about each other, remember doing together, etc. They do it in person on paper, and they do it in their online discussions. So when I saw this book that allows me to do the same, in a hardcover, thin book version that she will be able to keep forever, I knew instantly it was something that would delight her.

This is not a book for children/teens alone though. You could use it to make a permanent love letter for someone, a remembrance book for parents, grandparents, an aunt or a good friend, and so on and so forth. It is a unique, fun gift idea that most anyone would love to receive (and it's fun to make too).

The process is easy.  You go to the website: http://www.heartfeltbooks.com/pages
After creating a dedication page for the front of the book, and selecting your cover choice, you decide which questions you want to answer, and how you want to answer them. An example can be seen below:

There are fill-in-the-blank questions, drop-down menu questions, list questions (ex. 10 Words That Describe You), blank pages to write what you want, etc. You choose what you want to answer, add, or not add. It is truly a customized process that allows you to create a personal keepsake that is relevant and unique to whomever you are gifting it. I think it would be an awesome way to document your feelings with a new baby (something they would have forever). It would also make a great gift for any holiday, celebration of a big milestone, or even a 'just because' gift.

For those who might be interested but are not strong spellers, there is also a professional editor on hand who will spell check your work for you before it prints (for a nominal fee).

Shipping was fast, and the quality of the book we received was A+. The cover was simple and elegant (you choose the design you want), and the paper nice, sturdy, and thick.

This is a product I hadn't heard of prior to this review, but it's instantly one that's a fave.

My daughter does too, and I know she's going to love it (she hasn't seen it yet, I'm going to give it to her for a gift).

Sweet! Anything to keep them engaged.

She's a teen, so finding a gift that 'delights' her is harder than it used to be. :)

I'm thinking of having the kids make one for my mom too. She'd like seeing their answers, I know.

It's a cool concept and it's def. a nice quality of book (not always the case when you order things sight unseen). ;)

Agreed on both points. :) Thank you for the visit.

This sounds like a great idea for a grandmother to make for her grandchildren.

I think this is such a great idea! My girls have one similar to this that they share with their best friend. They love passing it back and forth, and rereading their thoughts and experiences together.

Seems like a great idea, especially for those who don't scrapbook.

Right up my daughter's alley, Suzan. ;) It's one of those gifts that just feels spot-on.

I bet it is fun being able to pass it back and forth and they'll probably remember it when they're grown. :)

Agreed!

It's nice and simple, not over the top, and totally a fun keepsake. :)

That looks like it's such a great way to keep memories :) My daughter and her friends would love this too! Looks like great quality. I have a memory book I need to do for Molly, but I'm being lazy lol.

I did a memory book for each of my kiddos too. The oldest (married now) took his not long ago. :)

I can see where this would be a great Christmas Gift, especially for an elderly person. It could be filled with memories and stories that would make them smile.

mail4rosey said...

It does have a great smile factor attached to it. :)
