#Wordless Wednesday: Temporary (thank goodness) Tattoos

Note: we allowed him to take one sheet of 5 tattoos and apply them himself (per his request).
Never in a million years did we think he'd put them on his face and neck, bwuahahaha. It makes for interesting conversation when we go out in public. It's been three days now, and despite soap and a washcloth, they're still going strong. ;)

  1. Those must be some pretty good temporary tattoos to last so long. He chose a great place to display them, everyone can see them better this way :)

  2. Thank goodness for the temporary tattoos. I have seen way to many of them on people in the wrong spots.

  3. My kids love those things, too. They plaster them all up and down their arms.

  4. Emma got a fake tattoo a few months ago at a kids birthday party. The thing was hideous after a day or two and yet she wouldn't let us remove it for days after that. So, I totally felt you pain reading this one!!

  7. Ha Ha! Try eye makeup remover. That worked better than soap for Isaak's. The whole story is cute though.

BTW I saw that you can put temporary tattoos on drinking glasses. They come off after awhile. I didn't know if you would ever want to try that.

    1. It sounds like something little man would get a kick out of it. We may try it (if he's willing to give up any of those tattoos). ;)

  14. This is so funny. Of course the are hard to come off, if he would have put them anywhere else they probably would have came off in a jiffy because you were not bothered by it. So funny.

I'm a new follower :) I would love for you to come visit me at http://www.houseofathousanddreams.com

  27. It seems most of the men(and sister) in my life are tattooed; my daddy, husband, one son and my seven year old is already obsessed with the temporary tattoos....I guess it's tat kind of world these days. Thanks for sharing.

    1. My oldest joined the military and became this big hulking dude full of tattoos. He's still the same sweetheart on the inside, but he sure looks different on the outside (not in a bad way, just in a surprising way). :)

  32. My gr-daughter Sunshine had a Peter Pan tattoo that she refused to be removed. We used cooking oil after three weeks, I believe. Your boy was very creative!

  33. Oh boy, I will have to remember this for Little Man in a few years...no face or neck. But it sure makes for cute pics☺

  34. Oh my! You're in trouble when he's old enough to get a real tattoo.

  35. Any kid tough enough to sport Spiderman *and* Superman definitely deserves the facial tattoos. He pulls it off better than Mike Tyson does!

My girls have put temporary tattoos on the smalls of their backs - and we went to Walmart, where they just fit in.

    1. My oldest two thought it would be funny to get their younger sister one of those at Cedar Point (amusement park) and then tie her shirt into a half shirt. Needless to say mom was not amused. ;)

  36. Haha too funny! I would have guessed he'd put them on his arms or something, but he went right for the face!

  37. I've seen kids do that before!

  38. Thank goodness for temporary is right. I've had a few henna tattoos and could never wait the two weeks for them to fade without scrubbing my skin pink to get them off.

  40. lol oh well it's school holidays :) I think I heard somewhere that baby oil (mineral oil) will get it off

    ReplyDelete
  41. I am sorry but I think that is hilarious! He gotcha good with this one mom. Temporary must have been used loosely in the description of those tattoos. LOL ~ at least he's not in school right now. Try mineral oil, but I bet alcohol (last resort) would do the trick. Good Luck!

  42. He is so cute Rosey - I remember my kids when they were little like that. Sandie

  43. That's cute! Allison has a fixation with temporary tattoos too. She is plotting the day she turns 18 so she can have real ones. Many a day has she walked out of the house looking just like him. I find that rubbing alcohol is a Godsend when it comes to removing them.

  44. Oy, been there, done that! We now have a no face/hands rule! Glad you took a pic first!

    ReplyDelete
  45. Thank God these are just temporary eh? I went to the McDonald's drive through the other day and the girl that took my money had a nice big tattoo on her neck. Hey, nothing against tattoos, but the neck? really? How do you cover THAT up? lol

    ReplyDelete
  46. LOL! Gotta love how little ones think :-) I'm not sure if someone commented with this already, but they come off pretty good with either rubbing alcohol or peroxide...can't remember which :-)

  47. So fun! My daughter started a family tradition like tattoos, except with Sharpies...

The first sign of her handiwork was across her little sister's forehead....

    It said, "Mail To: Timbuktoo."

My youngest now just draws on himself daily. I give up! ;)
