Picture Keeper (Review & Giveaway)

Disclosure: I received a product for review purposes. No other form of compensation took place. All opinions stated are genuine and my own.

Have you ever lost information you hadn't yet bothered to back up on a computer that bit the dust? If you have, you know that it's almost a heartbreaking experience. If once-in-a-lifetime pictures were included with what was lost, it can make you feel downright sick. The Picture Keeper offers a valuable and viable alternative to computer storage. Instead of loading them to your computer, you can conveniently save your photos to a Picture Keeper device. Compatible with both a MAC or PC, this handy little device makes uploading, sharing, backing up, or viewing pictures as easy as plugging it in (to the port on a computer). You can also plug in to a picture kiosk to have photos printed in a store.

There are no wires to connect, no software to install, and no passwords to have to remember. It's really an easy way to ensure you are able to protect one of the things that is most precious to you, your pictures.

With four different options, there is bound to be one you like. I received the 4k Picture Keeper Device that stores up to 4,000 pictures. Being extremely convenient and very user-friendly are but two of its perks (and it was both of those things). It is also the perfect size, about 2 1/2 inches long and half an inch wide, allowing you to take or store it most anywhere, and it has a string to help prevent it from getting lost. My two favorite things about it though, are that it stores information in files as they were organized on the computer, and it will not store duplicates (woot, I love those features!).

You can learn more about Picture Keeper by visiting their website here: http://picturekeeper.com/
You can also follow them on Facebook, Twitter, G+, and/or Pinterest.

  1. Could really come in handy, I back up everything at least once a month though, a few different ways.

    1. Because you're brilliant! :) I try...I'm still not so brilliant because I get lazy about it (you'd think I'd learn).

    1. I thought of them as being perfect stocking stuffers too. I'm one of those people who shop year-round, and I'm not ashamed. ;) :)

  6. That's a useful tool there. I lost a lot of my daughter's baby pictures when I saved them online, and the website closed down. It was heartbreaking.

    1. There is a video above, and then two pics. The second picture is a gray box, and it shows how many photos are held on the different sticks. PK Pro is the largest and can hold up to 250k photos (5MP).

  8. That would be great to have! I load all my photos on 2 different computers, so hopefully they both won't crash at the same time. And I do save them to a stick occasionally.

  11. This sounds great Rosey! That reminds me that soon I must get my desktop checked out to see if I still have a backup of my files and pictures! Guess what?! The computer died! Luckily I have a new laptop. Most of the pictures I had in albums and just scanned but I still have a lot of files and pictures that would be lost if the technician checks and finds that I do not have some of them backed up!

  16. The first thing that came to mind while reading this was that this was something I would love to try. I've got a TON of photos on my HD that I would love to store elsewhere that is easy access. The next thing I thought of while reading this was that I love the feature you say it has, that it won't store duplicates. I love this! I've got a couple of folders that have a few duplicates in them from putting them into different projects. It would be so great to store just the original one and not 2 or 3 of them that would just take up unnecessary space.

  27. Wow, so many things have gone through my mind while reading this. My Hubby's sister has put on her family pictures on a hard drive, actually two hard drives in case one crashes. And I am talking all their family pictures including the ones since they were all babies. It has taken her years to do this, and I thought of her first when I saw this giveaway. But because I don't speak to the evil woman I was trying to think of who else in the family could use this and then I thought of myself, because one day, we are hoping to have grandchildren and I know that we will definitely be taking lots of pictures then.
