Folli-Cleanse Shampoo Review

Disclosure: I received a product to help facilitate the review. No other form of compensation took place. All opinions stated are my own.

Folli-Cleanse provides an intense, yet gentle way to thoroughly clean your hair - follicle to end.

So many people seem to have that one specific thing that drives them crazy about their hair. For me it is product build-up. If I go out, I usually put a product on or in my  hair, and even after I shampoo it, there are traces of the product still present. I know this because my flat-iron tattles, leaving my hair stiff where product still remains. *sigh*

When I was given the opportunity to review the Follicleanse Shampoo, I jumped at the chance because this Paraben-free clarifying shampoo is designed to not only give you a deep cleansing, but also to remove product build-up.  It's the first product I've found at a reasonable price that does what it says it is going to do. The product is light, far lighter than traditional shampoo, and doesn't take a lot to lather up. It's so thin, in fact, that I thought it wasn't going to lather at all, but it surely did!

My husband said it has a nice, light fragrance (if it's in our Master Bath, he uses it). Truthfully, I didn't notice any smell at all, but that could just be me.

In addition to ridding my hair of the old traces of hairspray, shine spray, thermal protection, and whatever other junk might have been in there (which it did do), it also left my hair feeling very soft. I haven't used a straightener since I've been using the shampoo (it's hot outside, I don't feel like messing with a beauty routine that take more than five minutes right now), but I already know there'd be a marked difference if I did. It's obvious that my hair is much cleaner than it has been in a long time, and I shampoo my hair daily.

The product also boasts the ability to aid in a healthier scalp as the gentle cleansing removes impurities and imbalances that could encourage scalp impediments, itching, flaking, and clogged pores.

You can learn more about the product by visiting Healthy Hair Plus, where you can also purchase the product on sale now for $11.99. You can also follow then on Facebook, Twitter, and/or G+.

I received one or more of the products mentioned above for free using Tomoson.com. Regardless, I only recommend products or services I use personally and believe will be good for my readers.

Oh! This sounds like a great product. I don't use additional products on my hair, but my sister does, and I think this would be perfect for her. Thanks for the wonderful review, I will have to tell her about it.

Thanks for reading, Darci. I've never found anything that gets rid of the product build-up like this, I really, really liked it (and I'm a shampoo snob).

Very cool! I like that it actually removes the build up from other products because I tend to over use the heat therapy, texture sprays, hair sprays, and this would be awesome.

This sounds amazing - I've suffered with build up in the past and its made me look like I have dreadlocks (so doesn't suit me) will have to have a look for this :) x

It really does, it's my favorite thing about it (that and how soft it leaves your hair).

LOL!! I've had little spots of white something-or-other on my hair before from hairspray build-up, so not pretty.

This is one we'll probably continue to buy. I like it. It'll be interesting to see what happens using in for a long time.

I have a very sensitive scalp, I itch when my scalp don't like the chemicals or shampoo I use, I will have to check on this one and see how it works.

I love products and this definitely looks promising! I'm just like you. I hate when gook gets left behind.

i need to try this! I feel like I need a good clarifying shampoo to get rid of build up. Have't found anything yet. So I will give this a try!

I definitely need to try this! Once a week I put a tablespoon of baking soda in my shampoo to remove product build up. It would be nice to not have to do that anymore!

Can't say I have needed much shampoo in a while

Sounds like a great product for removing build-up. I use a lot of other products in my hair too. I'm with you on the styling, I just put it up in summer, especially during this five-day heat wave! ;)

It says it helps clear up an itchy scalp, so it could def. be worth a try! Thanks for the visit. :)

mail4rosey said...

Def. my favorite thing about it.

Naturally soft feeling hair rocks, and this really does give it to you. Thanks for stopping by, Lexie. :)

I had a high quality of shampoo I was using and it didn't get rid of the build-up. This one does, and I'm happy. :)

mail4rosey said...

I've used baking soda. SO many uses for that stuff, yes? :)

LOL, it seems to be a review the gals appreciate more this go-around, lol.

My husband will use whatever's in front of him, he don't care. ;)

Hot summer does make for little fuss time w/the hair. :)

I use extra things in my hair so this sounds awesome! Since it is so hot out my hair is crazy!

Clarifying shampoo is great to have on hand! I only wash my hair 2-3 times a week, but in the meantime I put tons of dry shampoo and product in it. I usually use a clarifying shampoo to make sure I get all the gunk out.

mail4rosey said...

Mine too.
