Wordless Wednesday (8th Grade Dance)

My daughter ended up going to the dance with her friends & the once-upon-a-time-blue-haired-boy,
but they're just good friends now...and not 'going together,' which is fine by me.  The longer she waits to 'go' with anyone, the better (as far as I'm concerned). ;)
Last social event before high school.

  11. Oh yes they can take their time! I've learned that relationships work better when they understand themselves more. Otherwise it ends in heartbreak and confusion.

  23. She is a vision of loveliness! It's so much better to go to dances as a group when you are that age...no pressure!

  25. Awww how cute! At least they are still friends :)

  26. You've a lovely daughter. She will meet many young men in her life before she decides upon her prince charming. It is nice to see a young lady take the time to grow-up, concentrate on her education and to take her time and wait before getting into a relationship. She is indeed very smart.
We are only young once, and that time is so short. When she is all grown up she will never regret that she focused on the things that were truly important.

  27. I remember my eighth grade dance. After I asked the boy I liked to dance with me, he yelled, "F%$# YOU!" I didn't want to do that! I just wanted to dance.

  28. Awww they look so cute. So "going together" is still the phrase or is that you? The first time a boy asked to go with me I was in the 6th grade and I said, "Go where?" I was fresh out of private school in didn't know slang one bit if you can call that slang.

    1. No, that's just me. If I'd have said 'dating' that would have been an inaccurate term. ;) Glad to see so many people 'get' what 'going together' means. We're in this old school thing together. :)
