Sun Protection Zone Review (with Reader Discount)

Disclosure: I received a sample product to help facilitate the review. No other form of compensation took place, and all opinions stated are my own.

Continuing along with the very important topic of sun protection, Sun Protection Zone offers a wide variety of items to help protect everyone in the family from the harmful UV Rays of the sun. They have swim shirts, swim sleeves, Rash Guard shirts, collared shirts, jackets, etc. All of their items are designed with one thing in mind, keeping you safe from the harmful effects of the sun, while still allowing you to get out and enjoy it.

Sun Protection Zone has been approved by the America Melanoma Foundation and the Melanoma International Foundation. The items they sell give you peace of mind, with many of them offering 100% UVA and UVB protection. The product we chose to review was the Boys Legionairre hat. It comes in three colors, and we selected the royal blue.

The sides of the hat are nice and long to cover the back and sides of the neck. If you look closely in the picture, you will see it has an optional chin strap to wear to make sure it stays on when the kiddos are active (a great option for smaller children). The strap closes with Velcro so it is also an easy on/off.

The back of the hat has an adjustable toggle for proper fit. The hat is made from microfiber so it will stay cool and comfortable. This particular hat is for children aged 1-6.

Most of you are already aware of the importance of taking proper precautions for outside play (for you and the rest of the family). Sun Protection Zone offers an easy way to do it.

  1. I love that hat. I can tell it protects your child's head a lot and I really like that.

  3. You know, I'm going to have to look into something like that for my BF. He is outside all day at work and I worry about that. He is always getting suspicious spots removed by the dermatologist so any extra protection would be great!

  4. This would be perfect for my boys. I worry about getting enough sunscreen on their faces, necks and ears. Of course my oldest wouldn't think it looked very cool. lol

  8. I love that hat! I need to share this with my sister...my niece is very pale skinned and burns easily! A hat like this would be perfect!

  9. My poor grandma suffered so much from skin cancer that I'm now incredibly obsessive about protecting my skin and that of my loved ones. I love the idea of this hat, especially the back part that covers the usually uncovered back of the neck!

  10. OK, putting on my technical nag hat;)...do you have "nofollow" after all of your links in this post? I would also get very specific on your disclosure, like "there are_____links to the sponsor's product, social media, etc." Google seems to want people to not be confused at all about any links in your posts. Just don't want you to get stung:)

  16. My son absolutely needs this! We're swimming almost everyday and he can really use some sun protection under the 40 degrees desert sun!

Thank you for sharing. Will check this out.

  17. Hats are super important for sun protection! I just wish I could remember to wear one more often myself. I manage to burn my scalp every year and that is no fun!

  18. I let my daughter wear hats but I don't believe that it protects from UV rays. That is such a cool hat it even protects the back of the neck.

  19. My son and I are both very fair skinned, and we spend a lot of time outside, so I'm always worried about enough sun protection, while still allowing him to absorb a small amount of Vitamin D.

  20. My kids need to have such protection what with all the going ons of summer!
