School's out FINALLY (well, almost)...

Hurrah, the last day of school is finally here!! It's just half a day, and I'll be spending the day at the school too, woot!  The elementary school is going to have a movie in the morning that the teacher made of the whole year, and then Field Day for the remainder of the time. My son is very excited, they've hyped it up pretty good.

My daughter went to bed early enough, but I heard noise in her room at 4 this morning and went to check...the child was wide awake in there.  -_-  She's sleeping now, but boy is someone going to be tired when mom goes to get them up in an hour or so. ;)

I LOVE LOVE LOVE the end of the school year, and it's finally here. Seems like it took forever this year. Let the summer begin, wooooooooot!

Happy Tuesday, everyone!

We still go for another 2 weeks, but one week of it is make up days from all the snow days we had this winter. Our last day is the 27th, which is really late. I'm with you, though, I am dying for them to just get out already....the beach is waiting :)

And you'll be happy when school starts again right? I always was. Was happy for school to end and oh so happy when it started again. My son if 42 so it's been a long, long time since I had that feeling. I remember it though.

Have a terrific day. ☺

YAIy! Imagine how irony it is, to be so impatiently wait for the first school day and then when school starts we can hardly wait for it to come to the last day :P

Thanks, I'm looking forward to it. It's official now, woot!

I like the excitement right before school starts and the kids are shopping and getting geared up to go back. :)

3rd week, you are l.u.c.k.y.! :)

No arguing at all from me, none, zilch, zip, nada. :)

Lizy, I have one having babies and one in Kindergarten, lol. Then I have some in between too. Haha, I made sure I won't have Empty Nest Syndrome for a very long time...and I like it. :)

mail4rosey said...

I so totally agree. They're excited too, which makes it more fun. :)

Field Day was a blast and the teacher made THE best video of the whole school year. It was very thoughtful of her to be documenting the whole time.

mail4rosey said...

I loved them when I was a kid too, and I loved school equally as much (crazy, I know...but true).

mail4rosey said...

This year seemed so long to me!!! I'm definitely ready for them to be home! :)

The boys have the rest of this week and a half a day on Monday. They had several snow days this past winter, so they are getting out a little late. I love it when they get out of school..I'm just like a kid too I guess..I hope to take them on a few fun excursions and then we head to Maine for a week in August. Have a great summer! :)

mail4rosey said...

Setting our own schedule rocks! :) It'll be here before you know it!

mail4rosey said...

She's still up and running, so I guess she's okay. Youth helps, I'm sure. ;)

mail4rosey said...

A great way to say goodbyes without tears...though there were some girls in the older grades bawling today. ;)

mail4rosey said...

We got light rain today, but it was afterwards. I hope you get your Field Day in soon. It's nice that they're rescheduling instead of canceling.

I'm hoping summer doesn't go by too fast!! Seems like it's always so slow to get here and so fast to leave.

Thanks, I am still excited. It's nice to relax a little.
