Ebates

Have you heard of Ebates? I signed up with them a long time ago for a contest and then never used the account. Finally, after hearing about them on and off so long, I gave them a try.

Ebates is a cash back site. You make your free account, sign into it before you make an online purchase and it credits you with the discount or amount of cash back at a pre-designated time after you have made your purchase.

Just before we booked our trip to Ireland, I logged into eBates and saw that Orbitz (the company we used to book our flight) was on the list of places to give you a discount. I booked a vacation package and voila' received a cash back check (during their pre-designated payout period).

It was just that easy.

I have used them since for a couple of purchases to get cash back. There's only been one place I haven't found on there so far that I've looked for (that was Shutterfly).

If it's something that might interest you, you can use my link below to check out their website and I'll get a credit. If enough people click over (totally up to you if you do or don't, I'm just disclosing it so you know), I'll get a little cash. :) So...my incentive to post was the cash back, but only because it's a program I've used and like, and think some of you might possibly like too.

You can check it out here at the link I was talking about above. First time users were getting a $10 gift card for a limited time, not sure if that's still the case since I'm logged in, but it's worth checking into if you're headed over anyway.

Have you used eBates before?

    1. Every little bit helps. My son just used Travelocity to book a plane ticket and he qualified for cash back on that too.

  2. Clicked away, the gift card thing is still up, but you must buy $25 of stuff before you can claim it.

    1. Thanks, Pat. If you're buying anyway, might as well get the cash back. Just don't forget to sign in before you check out (like I've done) or you won't get anything. :)

    1. It reminds me of a credit card program where you get cash back for shopping, except you're not restricted to using a (particular) credit card and can instead shop with any means you choose.

      Thanks for reading. ;)

    1. Thanks for the visit. I love that living room you've selected for show over at your place...pinned it. My second decorating pin ever, and I believe the first one was from you too. I think we have the same taste in decorating. :)

  11. We used to use them all the time. Haven't lately though since I don't think Amazon is partnered with them, and that's where we do the bulk of our online shopping.

    1. They do have some things for Amazon, I think clothes is what they're offering cash back on right now. No blanket order though where you save on anything you order (at Amazon)...that would be nice!

I think it's more fun for BIG purchases, but I don't make those often and in the meantime the little bits add up. :)

  12. Thanks for sharing Rosey and need to look into them. We are thinking of taking the girls to Disney in the future and wonder if they are involved in this. Definitely going to look and thanks again!! :)

    1. Ohh, lucky! We have been to Disney World quite a bit (cheap passes if you live in Florida, which we did for quite some time), but never Disneyland. I'd like to head out to the west coast and see that one!

    1. I signed up and let it sit dormant before a year. I'm slow like that sometimes. ;) I have't seen commercials, I guess it's good though that they've made their way to the TV.
