Busy Bees

A daughter excited about tonight's 8th Grade dance, end of the school year field trips, gifts for teachers, wrapping up loose ends...

Lots of things going on for the kids.

Then there's outside of school: This morning is the last soccer game of the season, and this afternoon is a big bounce house birthday party and dinner for the youngest (dinner?? Yep, the mom's feeding a large group of kids dinner).

Mid-terms for hubby who works all day and then comes home and has to study.

A million and one things to wrap up this week because I'm headed over to see the baby grand next Friday...alone this go around because the kids can't miss school. This will be my first for-fun trip alone in many, many years and hubby's first time home alone with school duty and overnight dad duties, ever!!!

My second oldest will be flying up from Florida too, to see his mama, SIL, big brother, and little baby niece so I'm excited to see him too! I miss that child! :)

Busy busy bees.

It's good when lots is going on though, it means we're happy, healthy, and on the go.

Totally unrelated to this post, but a couple of shout outs to share nonetheless:

If you haven't seen Manzanita's short but sweet post on the bucks, go take a look. I'm 42-years old and have never been lucky enough to see such a cool thing.

Tammy held a full frame of bees! You go girl!!!

And Lizy and Jacqueline both have graduates, high school and college, respectively. Congrats to your young 'uns, ladies. :)

Wishing you all a productive or lazy weekend, whichever makes your heart sing. :)

  1. I've been beyond overwhelmed with end of the year activities this year. Both kids have plays, field trips, HUGE projects and other stuff. I don't understand why they can't spread this stuff out a little more so we're not running around like crazy for the last 3 or 4 weeks of school.

  8. It's a busy time when you're a MOM. Thanks for the shout-out on the deer. They may look a little exciting but they are a pain to live with. I had to go out yesterday and spend another 2 hundred $ for more posts for fences. Yuck.

The shots's still amazing to me though...I'd have probably made so much noise gasping and ohhing nad ahhing that they'd have run for cover before I could have got that picture.

I like a break from the laptop some days too...God forbid! lol We had to drive into Boston for an orientation for my son's summer camp and then we had a funeral...so yesterday was busy for us. I hope your daughter had fun at her dance!

    1. I'm headed to church here shortly, and then yard work the rest of the day for me and whatever child/ren want(s) to be out there helping. That'll wear me out, but make me happy. :)

Tonight we'll finish up the plants (thank you Pinterest) we're giving to the teachers, and gift wrap the teacher aid's baby shower gift. Busy's not bad, and I don't like honey all that much anyway. ;) :)

      Happy weekend to ya, Terry!

We've been busy around here lately, too, but it seems to be coming to an end now that school is out. We will still have plenty to do with classes at the Y, homeschool stuff, and various other things.

I'm also still busy right now planning our vacation next month. We'll be in Missouri for quite a while. At least my sister will be here, so I don't have to worry about finding a house sitter this time. :)
