Very Pinteresting!

I've mentioned before that I'm a rare visitor to Pinterest.  The one and only reason I don't frequent the website is because soooo many people talk about how addicting it is, and how once they get there, they never want to leave.  I know I could easily fall into that category, so I tread water there carefully.

My son and daughter-in-law are visiting (I thought they were leaving Sunday, they're leaving tomorrow, hurray for the extra time!).  She does Pinterest, and one of her boards is 'Cute Baby Pic Ideas.'

One of the great things about Pinterest is that it gets the mind going and makes you want to try projects pinned or create new ones of your own.  They were sitting around thinking of cute baby picture ideas, and came up w/the idea of making a silhouette.  After a few attempts at darkening the room and taking pictures of his wife in front of the big picture window, my son decided to put a white sheet over the window and see how that would work.  It worked out fine and the pictures came out so cute!

I'm already loving pictures of the grandbaby :)

There were full body shots too, but I thought the tummy shot was just really cool.

Kudos to Pinterest, and to the kids, for making picture taking even more fun.

  1. That came out awesome!!! I do like Pinterest and I've been on there lately looking for ideas for my sister's upcoming Bridal Shower - but not pinning them because I don't want her to see them :)

    1. Could be a good place to pin your books. Rumor has it that it's a great traffic draw. Instagram even more so, or so they say. :)

  3. I really do like Pinterest but I try my best to limit myself to a few minutes on it per day, for it is rather addictive :)

  4. Haha. I'm like you. I rarely visit Pinterest. I've heard he addiction stories. I do not want to get caught. I go and follow people, share something, find something and I run away :)

I love the baby belly silhouette! Those are keepers!

You will make a most wonderful grandma! Ahh that child is blessed!

Your blog has a ton of things that would be lovely on Pinterest, so I bet Pinterest loves you too. Right off the top of my head I can think of your Smurf Pasta, your Altoids robot, and your gorgeous Panna Cotta. http://justdipitinchocolate.blogspot.com/2013/02/rapidito-en-viernesquicky-friday_22.html

  8. That is a great shot actually! I have not made it to Pinterest either, and I'm researching, and trying to find the best way to use it for business. That's the thing about all of this social media when it's business and not personal. There is no time for personal, and the business part doesn't make it very fun, but you are a fool to not take advantage of it, you know what I mean? I had a week away from it out of the country, and I don't miss social media one bit. Am I the only one?

    1. Nope, I'm sure everyone has their moments when it's nice to just have nothing at all plugged in. Those times seem to be getting more and more rare, but I appreciate them too.

I'm on Pinterest, you'll see mostly food and quotes on mine. I need to go look at those crafts and things that I've saved since Spring break is around the corner. ;-)
