Vacation, hurrah!

Washington Monument (Source:  Wikimedia Commons)
The house sitter has been secured, the weather cooperated, and we safely arrived in D.C. last night, woot!  The kids (except the youngest) spent the night w/their brother and his wife (who we are here to visit), and I'm on my way to visit right now, woo hoo!  The only downer is hubby is stuck in the hotel room all day w/the flu. :(

I hope everyone has a great rest of the holiday vacation!

See you soon!

  4. One of my favorite cities! When we lived in PA drove down often because it was so close and I am a sucker for that place!

Have a blast ~ can't wait to hear about it!

  6. I have family in Bethesda and I grew up visiting them and DC, so it's like a second home to me down there. I haven't been there with my kids yet because of all the walking, but I definitley want to take them soon. Hope you guys have a blast!!

    1. I have family in the DC area (my oldest and his wife), so we've been before too. DC really is awesome, and there is a lot of walking but the kids do love it when they get to go. SO much to see and do!!

    1. He decided instead to share it w/me. -_- Gotta love a giver. ;)

Totally not his fault, I know. I'm not a bit upset about it, just bummed because we see the kids so little (the grown ones who live thata'way).

  17. Oh no.... not the flu. Everyone seems to be getting it. I am taking the Immunophen and I hope it helps. It is suppose to build up the immune system. I guess time will tell.
