This photo cracks me up because we thought it would be such a good idea to take little man to see Santa... that is until we got there! And the Santa was what, 16-yrs.-old? ROFL! That is my son trying to get off of Santa's lap as fast as was humanly possible.

A couple of years later he agreed to sit with Santa again, but only if his older brother and sister sat with him too. He still looked a little nervous. At least Santa Claus was more age-appropriate in that one, lol!

This year (yet again two years later), little man was finally ready for the visit (eager in fact!). He even had a request list made up and was more than ready when Santa asked the big question. Atta' boy! I guess these things just take time sometimes, lol. :)

Both of mine were Santa Babies but from a distance jejeje, it was difficult to get them to sit on his lap, lol See you around

DeleteYeah, that's how my youngest was too...he liked Santa real well in books or on TV, lol.
I believe each of them have had a year when it was unhappy, but for the most part they took it in stride. lol

DeleteI had three out of four who liked Jolly Old St. Nick. :)
LOL! Our first year went well. Took the boys to see Santa today and he was late! so we left!

DeleteAw, Santa is the one who missed out on your cute boys!
Glad he is finally warming up to the big guy! Mine were always good with Santa. It was the Easter Bunny that scared the pants off them though!
ReplyDelete
DeleteLOL! I like the Easter Bunny pics too. :)
That 16 year old Santa is funny!

DeleteI know, he was probably freaking out trying not to drop the screaming kid. I felt almost as bad for him as I did for my own. :)
Yes, very nice pictures.
ReplyDelete
DeleteThank you. Glad you stopped by to visit the blog. :)
That first picture cracked me up! Thanks for sharing. :)

DeleteMy son still doesn't think it's funny, but I sure do. ;)
Oh goodness, I can so relate! I recently posted about my 2-1/2 years and nearly 1 year olds visits to see Santa...and how different those visits were!! http://daneesey.blogspot.com/2012/11/an-odd-conglomeration.html Thanks for stopping by for Favorite Things and being part of the hop!! :)

Hahaha I love these pictures!!! :)

DeleteThanks, Jen. I like to break out all of the old Santa pics when the holidays roll around. They make me happy. :)
Tried to get my son's picture with Santa tonight ....but he would have no part in it. He just turned 3.
ReplyDeleteThanks for stopping by my blog today.
Happy Holidays

DeleteI guess a stranger w/that fake hair and beard can be a little disconcerting. :)
Awe, I think it's so cute when Santa scares them. My older sister was scared of Santa for awhile, she had a fear of men with beards!
ReplyDeleteIt's strange if they've never seen one...prolly even more strange if it's big, fluffy, and white, lol.
DeleteMy boys aren't big fans of seeing Santa in person--the last few years the whole family has had to sit with Santa if the boys are even going to consider it. And then they refuse to smile!
ReplyDeleteAw, little guys. Those'll probably be the pictures they laugh at years from now. :)
DeleteMy husband does not like taking family pictures. When we have kids then he will not have a choice and I will get some of these wonderful pics with Santa! lol
ReplyDeleteIm following you back!

Thanks for the follow. :)
DeleteMy boys have had their picture with santa every year since they were born - whether they like it or not. I have a great one of my oldest when he was about 17 or 18 months old screaming bloody murder on santa's lap - and it's my favorite picture of them all LOL.
ReplyDeleteI wasn't even going to buy the first one I put up, never even considered it, but hubby was laughing and said, "Are you nuts, of course we want it!" And it's been his favorite ever since, lol.
DeleteAdorable! Thanks for sharing these pics and for visiting me at Doorkeeper. Blessings!
ReplyDeleteThanks for visiting back. :)
Deleteyour pictures are great! what fun memories for you. My kids sat on santas lap, motionless and expressionless.
ReplyDeleteLOL That's funny too!
DeleteI'm glad he's better with Santa now! My older two didn't care either way if we saw Santa or not. Autumn on the other hand, whose now nine, has NEVER wanted to go near Santa until last year. I was hoping it would happen before she didn't believe anymore! Just in the nick of time :)
ReplyDeleteThanks for linking up with my NO RULES Weekend Blog Party!

ha, nice play on words w/the "nick" of time comment. ;)
DeleteI was always creeped out by the Mall Santa as a kid too actually. Now as an adult female, I think I'm still creeped out;) Ha!
ReplyDeleteHubby wanted me to sit w/Santa once and I said Pass. :)
DeleteI think it's fun for the kids to though, or all of us as a fam. :)
