Christmas Music (30 Days Left!)

In keeping with my daily posts of Christmas Music, today I have chosen another song that just feels "Christmas-y," Elvis' "Here Comes Santa Clause."

Elvis was a little before my time (at least something was!), so I never got into the 'Oh my gosh it's Elvis!' thing (it's amazing to me the effect he had on people in his audience!), but I do like a good number of his songs.  I particularly like his voice on this song.

And while I'm talking about Elvis I might as well put up "Santa Bring My Baby Back to Me," because just like I could see my grandparents singing the Nat King Cole "Christmas Song" in my head when I posted yesterday's song, I can equally see my mom dancing all over her living room to this song.  She's a woman who loves an upbeat tempo (and she loves Elvis Presley music too).

  1. I love Christmas music, I look forward to seeing what you post next.
I'm a new follower stopping by from the Super Sunday Sync.

  2. Yay!! I love Christmas music. I'm excited about singing the carols with my daughter this year.

Thank you for linking up your post to Raising Imperfection. Come back Friday to see if your post was featured.

  3. Elvis was meant to sing Christmas songs...great choice :)

Thanks for sharing with my NO RULES Weekend Blog Party!

  4. Hi Rosey. My mom is Rosey and "Here Comes Santa Claus" by Elvis played throughout our home growing up. My mother loved Elvis. Stopping by from the Raising Imperfection Blog Hop. Thanks for saying hi at Two Martini Lunch! Looking forward to some more of your selections. Merry Christmas!

  5. I liked him when I was younger, but not so much now. I kinda cringe when I hear his songs, except for the holiday ones!

  6. It's funny because I've never really been a big Elvis fan, yet Chris and I got married by Elvis in Vegas :)

I don't dislike him, but I'm more of a Beatles girl!

  7. I love this song!

Thanks for linking up to Raising Imperfection!

  8. Elvis was also before my time, though I do have a few of his songs on my ipod. My aunt Peg is a huge fan though and her entire basement is full of Elvis memorabilia.

He does have such a lovely voice for the Christmas tunes!
