Go Max Go Foods! (Candy Giveaway!)

Those who choose the Vegan lifestyle:  Delight!

Those who are dairy-intolerant:  Rejoice!

Those on the Gluten-Free track:  Gotcha' Covered!

Those who want their candy free of hydrogenated oils, trans fats, artificial ingredients, and/or cholesterol: Jump for joy!

Those looking for only cruelty-free treats:  Yep, they've done that too!

Now with Go Max Go Foods, you can have your candy (and eat it too).

Go Max Go is a company that wanted to find a way to create a much healthier alternative of candy than was the norm, that would not compromise on flavor.  Their hard work paid off, and guess who benefits?  You do!  There are (6) different flavors to try, the first (3) of which are Gluten-Free.  A 7th flavor is about to be introduced, and will be a Vegan Butterfinger-type bar (yum!) called Thumbs Up.

  • Cleo's Peanut Butter Cups
  • Snap! (Krisped-Rice in a milk chocolatey coating)
  • Mahalo (chocolate, coconut, dry roasted almonds)
  • Jokerz (peanuty-nougat bar)
  • Twilight (chocolate and caramel)
  • Buccaneer (fluffy nougat inside of a chocolate coating)
  • Thumbs Up (Butterfinger-type bar, vegan. Coming very soon!)
Our family had a sampling of each type.  5/6 were a huge hit with everyone in the family, and because I'm the only one who likes coconut in this house (can you believe that?!?), all of them were a hit with me.

My husband liked all of the ones he tried (and he's not real big on sweets), but said his favorite was hands-down the Cleo's Peanut Butter Cups.  The rest of us thought the Snap! candy bars were the best (these were so good I'm considering buying some for stocking stuffing this year), but (coconut aside) we liked them all too.  The flavor wasn't at all what we expected.  When you hear healthier-alternative phrases and 'candy' in the same paragraph, if you're like us, you immediately think, 'Yuk! or 'Pass!'  Not so with these candy bars.  The taste wasn't the same as a traditional type of candy bar, it was similar, but definitely different, in a good way.  There was no aftertaste like you sometimes get with candy, and the flavors were indulgent and rich.  We were all in agreement that none of us felt as if we were in any way compromising on flavor with the Go Max Go candy.

Though there are (6) flavors, the only downside I see with the products is that there's not just a plain chocolate (we'll cross our fingers that they add that to their selection offerings sometime in the near future).  I'd also love to see a dark chocolate (just because I love it).  I cannot wait for the new flavor to come out (November), so we can try that one too!

If you still have any questions or thoughts after reading my review, you can send them to Go Max Go Foods at info@gomaxgofoods.com (their customer service is thorough, prompt, and very friendly). You can also read more about them on their website, and follow them on Facebook and/or Twitter. I hope you'll check them out, give their product a try, and tell a friend or two (or twenty).

In addition to that, Go Max Go Foods has agreed to give one of my readers a variety sampling of their own (one of each flavor, like we received).  Thank you Go Max Go!  Entry is easy, just follow instructions on the Rafflecopter below.  The potential winner will be randomly selected by Rafflecopter, and notified via e-mail.  He/she will then have 48 hours to respond or a new winner will be drawn.  Prize will be shipped directly from sponsor.  USA only.

a Rafflecopter giveaway

Disclosure:  I received a product sampling for review.  No other compensation changed hands.  All opinions stated are my own.
