Vitalicious Review & Giveaway

  New SuperSampler

Vitalicious seems to be all the rage right now, and we were sent this big, beautiful super sampler pack for review (thank you, Vitalicious).  This company has been featured on television networks, CNBC & ABC.  They have also been featured by the equally popular Hungry Girl, and in countless blog reviews, to name but a few places.

The concept behind the products is that they are full of things that are good for you, low on calories, and have no additives or preservatives (none, zero, zip, nada).  You store them in your freezer, and they last for approximately nine months.  At 100 calories per 2 oz. serving, they are the perfect size for snacking.

On to the review...the good, the bad, and there's no ugly.

I'll start with the "bad," so I can end the review on a positive note (which I think the company deserves because there are so many positives that they have to offer).  I don't like the chocolate...any of it.  I think that's because I'm used to the junked-up preservative/additive-filled type, but nonetheless, I don't like it.  My husband really, really likes it though, so it could just be me (and you can see from the ratings reviews that the chocolate items get a lot of five-star reviews).

Hubby is taking one a day to work with him, and using it as his mid-morning snack.  Every day in the beginning he would give me the same spiel, "I don't know how you can't like these, they're good."  He has since given up on trying to convince me, and come to the realization that if I don't like them, the better for him because he gets them all.  Smart man.

Banana Nut VitaTops (12 Muffin Tops)
The Banana Nut VitaTops were perfect!

Now on to the good.  The snacks included that did not have chocolate were DELICIOUS!  The VitaTops were my favorite.  They're huge (and still only 100 calories), have a great consistency, and taste exactly like you would expect a muffin to taste.  The Banana Nut Vitatop was my absolute favorite, and I can see myself buying these during a routine grocery store trip.

The VitaTops are also nutritious.  According the the Vitalicious website, the VitaTops have less sugar and more nutrients than an apple.  You can see the comparison list on their website, and I have to admit it's pretty impressive.

Vitalicious is innovative too.  I discovered on their website that in addition to the great (and very plentiful) selection of snacks they offer, they also have VitaMixes, so you can make your own treats at home; English Muffin-style buns; and pizza (at only 190 calories, I have got to try the pizza!).

If you want to see what all of the hubbub is about (and I recommend that you do), you can purchase Vitalicious snacks in the freezer section at your local grocery store, or you can purchase them online directly through the company.

You can follow Vitalicious on Facebook, Twitter, YouTube, and/or Pinterest.

POST REVISION:  Vitalicious recently told me that I am now able to offer the same huge sampler pack I received to one of my lucky winners!  Hurrah!  Thank you, Vitalicious!  Feel free to enter on the Rafflecopter below, and good luck!

Winner will be selected randomly by Rafflecopter and notified by e-mail.
Winner will have 48 hours to respond or a new one will be selected.
Prize will be shipped directly from sponsor.
All entries will be verified.

a Rafflecopter giveaway

Disclosure:  I received on VitaLicious Super Sampler pack for review purposes.  No compensation took place, and the opinions stated are my own.

Hmmm, maybe I'll give them a try. My hubs has been using NutriSystem and while it has helped him lose weight, the taste is not that great.

mail4rosey said...

I think they would be great for portion control! I hope you try them and he loves them! Good luck to hubby on his w/loss journey. :)

Thanks for stopping by.

Never heard of these, maybe I will try them and see! Thanks for the review!

Sharon Ruggieri said...

Huh...never heard of these, but if you don't like the chocolate, do you think the rest of us Hershey eating girls would like it either? I'm actually gonna google this company, check it out a little cuz now I'm curious :)

mail4rosey said...

Nice to see you, Pamela. :)

mail4rosey said...

I don't know...hubby likes Hershey's too, and he thinks they're great. The company is off-the-charts popular right now, so there are probably a lot of people out there who do like the chocolate (or they probably wouldn't be so popular, since chocolate is a resounding fave). :)

Thanks for stopping by!

I was notified earlier today that I can turn this into a giveaway, and I'm going to either later this evening or tomorrow (Thank you, Vitalicious!), so, if you enter and win, you can try it for free! :)

The VitaMuffin has less sugar and more nutrients than an apple, plus the advantages of whole grains, berries, fiber and protein needed to keep kids focused and their energy levels high throughout the day.

Research shows that kids learn and perform better in school when they start the day with a nutritious breakfast. But you don't need research to know that kids eat what they love and kids love the taste of our delicious and nutritious VitaMuffins & VitaTops!
