I'll Admit It...My Daughter & I are not Always Good at Waiting

Hmm...we waited around for the fellas for awhile, we really did, but seeing the bunk bed in the big box in the out-of-the-way spot in the living room was too much for us...we looked at each other and knew...we had to put it together.

And so my daughter and I set out to tackle a project that would be much bigger than we thought especially considering the directions were lacking information that we could have used.  But it wasn't too bad...and after a few hours we saw the light at the end of the tunnel.  Of course by that time we were alternately laughing uncontrollably or grouching at one another... not in small part because it was stifling hot in the room and 2:00 in the morning.

The only thing we missed, because we were just too tired to do it, was putting up the ladder.  It's still not up yet, but it we'll get to it (sooner rather than later).

Goodbye Toddler Bed!!

When morning rolled around (or maybe I should say, after we got some sleep) my daughter and I took a peek in my son's room and high-fived each other on a job well done.  Now little man, who is about to start school for the first time can say goodbye to his toddler bed, and hello to his new 'big boy' bunk bed!

For anyone who might be interested, the bed is an Elite Products Twin over Twin Bunk Bed in Sleek Steel Finish that I purchased from Amazon for just under $175.00.  The Spiderman Twin Sheets and comforters came from Walmart online (and they had a great price too).  Delivery for all of the above was fast!  The bed is really sturdy, and we couldn't be happier with our purchase.

Big shout out here to my daughter for hanging in there 'til the job was done.  Good job, Sis!

  4. Every single slat on both beds had to be put on there, lol. It was time-consuming, but overall not so bad, and a good lesson in patience for my daughter (especially when we had to undo/redo the top portion one time, ha!).

It's rewarding to do projects with the kids... :)

    Thanks for stopping by!
